Mode of action

It is a selective and systemic post emergence phenoxy herbicide, used against annual and perennial grass weeds in broad-leaved crops.

He inhibits acetyl-CoA carboxylase and prevents synthesis of fatty acids.

Quizalofop-P-ethyl has a high selectivity between grass weeds and dicotyledons crop. It is absorbed in a few hours by stem and leaf and conducted to the whole body of annual weeds in 24 hours, mainly acumulating in the top organs and meristem. Treated weeds acquire a red color, after which they necrotize and dry up.

Leaves of annual weeds will start yellow 2-3 days after application. Stem and leaf are necrotized in 4-7 days. The whole-body withers and dies in 10-14 days.

Potato, Tomato, Sunflower, Soybeans, Sugar beet, oilsed rape – Against a grassy weeds that grows from

seed in rate 0,7-1 l/ha, Sorghum halepense from seed 0,8 l/ha, Sorghum halepense from rhizomes 1-1,2 l/ ha.

Recommended water consumption 200-300 l/ha.

Time of application – when the weeds have 3 – 6 leaves.

Application in the world: it is used in dicotyledonous (broad-leaved) crops such onion, watermelon, melon cabbage, pepper, alfalfa, peas, beans, carrot…etc, for post emergence control narrow-leaved (grassy weeds).
